As late spring turns to early summer and nature's beautiful colour palette reveals itself in the flowers around us, we thought we'd share a floral craft for you to try at home. Inspired by the alliums at Haddon Hall, Adult Crafts volunteer Karen Attwood reveals how to embroider your very own allium seedheads. For this activity you'll need:

• A piece of hessian for the backing and a scrap of blue cloth.
• Some bright/shiny green thread for the sewing machine.
• Several different colours of 6 ply embroidery thread.
• A needle
