Visit us Visit us The Canalside Heritage Centre is a vibrant hub for visitors to enjoy and explore, with an enticing tearoom, welcoming gift shop and interpretation centre, as well as tranquil gardens and lots of activities to delight in. Our location on the River Trent and the Beeston and Nottingham Canal makes us an ideal starting point for picturesque walks where you can look out for the many boats, enjoy the changing colours and sunshine on the water and enjoy the plentiful wildlife that can be found at any time of year. We are also located on the Big Track so if you enjoy cycling, we're the perfect spot for refreshments and relaxation after a long ride. Covid 19 Following the government announcement of a national lockdown from the 6th January, we have updated the guidelines for visiting the Heritage Centre. All areas of the Heritage Centre, including the toilets, are now closed to the public, with the exception of the tearoom, which is operating a takeaway service. Entrance to the tearoom is via the garden gate and the exit is the yellow door at the front of the Heritage Centre. Access to the garden is restricted to entering the tearoom only, and we ask that you please do not gather in or walk around the garden. All food and drink ordered from the tearoom MUST be consumed away from our premises. Please read the full guidelines before visiting and follow these guidelines to help keep our staff and all visitors safe. Thank you for your continued support and understanding, we hope to be able to return to normal soon. Opening times We are currently open 10.00am to 3.00pm, 7 days a week.
