Get your class hooked on exploring the power of local industry and the magical waterways! 

Children will investigate the history of the Nottingham and Beeston Canal, examine new objects with their senses, and practice their speech and language skills!

Activities include a STEM related object investigation, an exciting and informative guided walk with one of our knowledgeable walk leaders along the Nottingham and Beeston Canal which includes a problem-solving activity where they are encouraged to consider how turnover bridges were used by horse-drawn narrowboats, a timeline activity that encourages children to consider the development of the local waterways in the broader context of the history of transport and a boat ride on Megan & Tinks. Boat trips cost £35 for full day hire.
