As part of the Council for British Archaeology's Festival of Archaeology, our volunteer walk leaders are running a very special walk along the River Trent. Join them on Monday 27th September to discover the rich and amazing archaeological landscape of the river and learn the role it has played in people's lives for thousands of years. The walk includes the amazing Clifton Pile Settlement, an important and fascinating prehistoric site discovered in the 1930s when the river was being dredged.

The walk will run twice on the day, starting at 10.30am and 1.30pm outside the Heritage Centre. The walk is approximately 3.5km along good paths and lasts for about an hour and a half.
