School workshops

We run a varied programme of workshops and sessions for school groups here at the Canalside Heritage Centre. Please see below for more information our EYFS, Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2 and garden sessions.

School groups are invited to visit on weekdays during school opening hours. We are open to the public and have a lively schedule of community events and classes, so we ask that you book in advance. We ask for a 50p donation per child to cover material costs. Often, we organise boat trips for classes through the Nottingham Narrowboat Project. They charge groups £35 for full-day boat hire. If you're joining us on the cargo workshop, it is recommended that you book a short boat trip for your group.

If you would like to bring a group to the Heritage Centre, please fill in an enquiry form.
