Our volunteer walk leader is running a special archaeology walk along the River Trent. Join them at 12pm on Sunday 14th July to discover the rich and amazing archaeological landscape of the river and learn the role it has played in people's lives for thousands of years. The walk includes the amazing Clifton Pile Settlement, an important prehistoric site discovered in the 1930s when the river was being dredged.

The walk will start at 12pm outside the Heritage Centre. The walk is approximately 3.5km along good paths and lasts for about an hour and a half.

Places are limited so we advise booking in advance. Please book your place below. It is free to join the walk and we also welcome donations to support our community education programme. If you would like to make a donation this can be done in-person on the day of the walk or online using the donate button below.
